.
◊ "I have registered an account but it still has not been activated, what's wrong?"
Should the activation take longer than 3 days it might as well be that you have not answered to the final registration mail send out by our staff. The other reason might be that you might have violated some of the name selection rules in one way or the other. In both cases please do check the mailbox of the e-mail address you have provided upon registration, since it is very likely that you have already been contacted about this by our staff with further instructions (make sure to check the spam folder in case your spam filter put the message there by accident). You may also check the rules concerning a valid forum name selection under the heading "Rules for Character Name Selection" if you follow this link.

◊ "I have used a bogus e-mail address during registration and my account still has not been activated, what's wrong?"
Our staff always will always contact pending new members prior to activation via e-mail, to make sure that the new account hasn't been created automatically by a bot. If you haven't provided a VALID e-mail address during the registration process your registration it will be discovered during this validation process and thus your account will never get activated and is bound to be deleted without further notice.

◊ "Why can't I use a name like Abraham Lincoln or Robert E. Lee?"
This violates the following rule: "You may not use the name of an existing historical character, famous real life person or of an organization." For the purpose of this game there are no historical figures like Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant and others - we follow an alternate timeline and it's up to our players to rise to those positions, it's up to them to become a famous person within our game world, it's up to them to forge the fate of two countries in one way or the other, it's up to them to decide about politics, make economical decisions, research new technology, build up a business or whatever they like to do - the fate is in the hands of our players. All rules can be found here under the heading "Rules for Character Name Selection" .

◊ "Why is a forum name like Snoopy094 or 1980BigBear or KillerDog not accepted?"
Such a name violates our rules for a valid handle selection. Since your forum registration name will be your characters name at the same time it must include a first name and a last name that both do sound like a real name. You may read up on all of those rules here under the heading "Rules for Character Name Selection" .

◊ "Can I become President of the United States or the Confederate States?"
Sure all positions are open for our players. All you need to do to become the President is join a political party that has the majority, get picked as a candidate and then win the presidential elections. Elections are held periodically and there's always the choice of a vote of no confidence in the current president if he should be inefficient or not an active player.

     ◊ "Will there be fighting?"
Of course. Both nations will pursue their own goals and after building up their military forces most likely will put them to use if diplomacy fails. The United States main goal will certainly be to preserve the Union. The Confederate States main goal is to gain it's independence. So even if one just looks at the basics there is a lot that will set of the fuse.
